MainGear: A Gamer’s Computing Redefined!

As hard as it is admit it sometimes, as a technology enthusiast credit has to be given where deserved. I’ve been working specifically with gaming machines for over 3 years and while I’ve seen a lot of companies come and go with radical designs, here is one that somehow gives me the feeling is here to stay.

Here is what they do different

  • Simplistic design and they are being open about it
  • Aftermarket O.E.M. components and they are advertising it
  • A range of specifications that starts at baseline gaming to heavy duty fire brand stuff
  • Close to minimum operating system customizations

Some of the biggest things that people have complained about, when it come to gaming performance has always started at the operating system and then moved on to the hardware. Gamer’s prefer a clean installation of the operating system with the latest drivers installed. Any additional control panels to control either the motherboard or the graphics cards is always welcome, but that ends the list. Most large manufacturers have a tendancy to include a lot of applications that and this tends to be an unwelcome and unpopular move among gamers. Speaking about hardware, you will find a broad range of users starting from those who don’t care about whats in the box as long as it plays, going to those who buy the box for what’s inside it and ending somewhere at that borderline built it myself and modded it with my hands bunch.

Here are couple of interesting notes about them

The base warranty is a 14 month warranty and they offer upgrades to premium warranty plans.

The online order configuration system is neat. They have two simple clasess. Build yours based on cost. Build yours based on the processor
